On the afternoon of June 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM, an elegant workshop themed around the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Way of Incense (Xiandao)—co-hosted by Jubang Group and SPD Bank—kicked off in the third-floor training area of Building 1. Centered on traditional incense culture, the event featured a professional instructor who provided hands-on guidance, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the unique charm of this ancient art form and experience the rich, enduring fragrance of a thousand-year-old tradition.

At the beginning of the event, the intangible cultural heritage instructor shared a detailed account of the development of Chinese incense ceremony, delving into the historical heritage of traditional incense culture, meticulously dissecting the principles of ancient incense blending, explaining the properties and compatibility logic of various natural spices, and combining them with folk tales to popularize the auspicious meanings carried by different shapes of incense plaques. From cultural origins to folk symbolism, the event comprehensively unveiled the craftsmanship and elegance behind ancient incense plaques, allowing the attendees to understand the traditional Eastern culture contained within these small incense plaques.

In the hands-on workshop, guests embarked on an immersive experience of traditional incense making. From the meticulous grinding of natural spices and the scientific blending of multiple ingredients, to the pressing, shaping, and finishing, the entire process of creating an incense plaque was replicated. Everyone focused intently, adjusting the spice ratios by hand. Through the kneading and molding, they personally experienced the meticulousness of traditional incense blending techniques, creating their own unique incense plaques based on personal preferences. Each plaque embodies elegance, and each fragrance captures a moment in time. The finished incense plaques were small and exquisite, suitable for wearing or hanging, combining practicality and aesthetic value. All guests completed their crafts independently, and each finished product could be taken home as a keepsake, capturing the warm moments of this gathering and preserving a unique fragrant memory.

This incense ceremony gathering is not only a unique cultural and recreational activity for Jubang Group to enrich the cultural life of its employees and inherit intangible cultural heritage, but also allows everyone to relax their mind and body and appreciate the spirit of craftsmanship in a slow-paced hands-on way. In the small space of incense sticks, they can immerse themselves in the long-standing aesthetics of the Eastern incense ceremony.
