KYN61-40.5 switchgear is equipped with excellent performance ZN85A, ZN85B vacuum circuit breakers, Schneider SF1, SF2, ABB HD4, or Als FP series sulfur hexafluoride circuit breakers. The cabinet adopts an assembly structure, which improves the appearance quality and manufacturing accuracy; The busbar adopts heat shrink insulation material or epoxy coating insulation method to optimize the electrode shape, and the cabinet structure is compact, and it has completely “five prevention” functions. 

Product structure

The structure of the switchgear can be divided into two parts according to its composition: the cabinet body and the handcart. The cabinet body is bent from steel plate and assembled with bolts to form. According to the functions of the electrical equipment inside the cabinet, the typical plan can be divided into four parts: relay instrument room, handcart room, cable room, and busbar room, each separated by a earthed metal partition. Its enclosure protection level is IP4X; When the handcart door is opened and the circuit breaker handcart is in the open/test position, the protection level is IP2X. This switchgear has other primary solutions such as cable Incoming and outgoing, overhead Incoming and outgoing, busbar connection, isolation, voltage transformer, lightning arrester, etc. Current transformers, earthing switches, etc. are installed in the cable room, providing ample space for the connection of multiple cables. The contact box is equipped with a metal valve, which automatically opens when the handcart moves from the disconnected/test position to the working position. When the handcart moves in the opposite direction, it automatically closes, forming effective isolation.

1 Enclosure and partition

The enclosure and partition of the switchgear are made of cold-rolled steel plates processed and bent by CNC machine tools, and then bolted together. Therefore, the assembled switchgear can ensure the uniformity of structural dimensions. The switchgear is divided into a circuit breaker room, main busbar room, cable room, and relay instrument room, with each part separated by a earthed metal partition.

2 Handcart

Handcarts can be divided into circuit breaker handcarts, voltage transformer handcarts, isolation handcarts, etc. according to their purpose. Each type of handcart has the same external dimensions, and handcarts with the same purpose have interchangeability. The handcart has test/isolation positions and working positions inside the cabinet, and each position is equipped with interlocking devices to ensure that the handcart cannot move freely when it is in the above two positions. The handcart is equipped with a new fully insulated vacuum circuit breaker or sulfur hexafluoride circuit breaker. The handcart frame is equipped with a screw nut pushing mechanism and an overrunning clutch. The screw nut pushing mechanism can be easily operated to move the handcart between the disconnected/tested position and the working position. With the self-locking property of the screw nut, the handcart can be reliably locked in the working position, preventing accidents caused by the movement of the handcart due to the action of electric power. The overrunning clutch operates when the handcart moves back to the off/test position and enters the working position, causing the operating shaft to automatically detach from the screw shaft and idle, which can prevent accidental operation and damage to the propulsion mechanism.

3 Circuit breaker isolation chamber

A specific track is installed in the circuit breaker isolation room for the handcart to move. When the circuit breaker moves between the test position and the working position, the isolation valve automatically opens or closes, ensuring that workers do not touch live objects. The handcart can be operated with the cabinet door closed, and the position of the handcart inside the cabinet can be seen through the inspection window, as well as any functional signs on the vehicle.

4 Busbar compartment

The main busbar is supported by the branch busbar and busbar sleeve. Busbar bushing separating adjacent cabinets can effectively prevent the spread of accidents and support the main busbar. The busbar adopts shrinkAble insulating bushing or fluidizing coating process to form reliable composite insulation.

5 Cable compartment

PT, earthing switch, lightning arrester, and multiple cables can be installed in the cable room.

6 Relay room

The indoor panel and panel of relay can be installed with control, protection components, metering, display instrument, live monitoring display and other secondary components.

7 Locking device

The switchgear has reliable interlocking devices, effectively ensuring the safety of operators and equipment;

a. When the earthing switch is in the open position, the handcart can only be moved from the test/isolation position to the working position; And the back door cannot be opened, preventing accidental entry into the electrified compartment;

b. When the handcart is completely pulled out of the cabinet or when the handcart is in the testing/isolation position inside the cabinet and the earthing switch is interlocked and unlocked, the earthing switch can be closed;

c. When the handcart is in the working position, the earthing switch cannot be closed to prevent accidental closing of the earthing switch when energized;

d. When the earthing switch is in the closed position, the handcart cannot be moved from the test/isolation position to the working position, which prevents the handcart from being moved to the working position when the earthing switch is in the closed position;

e. The circuit breaker handcart can only be operated when it is in the test/isolation position or working position, and after the circuit breaker is closed, the handcart cannot move, preventing live loads from accidentally pushing and pulling the circuit breaker.

f. Electrical interlocking can be installed between cabinets.

8 Earthing device

In the cable room, there are separate 5 × 40mm earthing busbar, which can penetrate adjacent cabinets and have good contact with the cabinet body.

9 Voltage monitoring device

The voltage monitoring sensor or the combination of voltage monitoring sensor and earthing switch is integrated, and the display device is placed on the front of the switchgear, and can emit visible light at 50% of the rated voltage, which has a relatively reliable protective measure for personal safety.

10 Anti condensation measures

To prevent the harm caused by condensation in high humidity or climate environments with significant temperature changes, heaters are installed in the circuit breaker room and cable room respectively.

Installation conditions

Altitude: ≤ 1000m;

Environment temperature: Upper limit of environment air temperature +40℃ , lower limit -15℃ ;

Relative humidity: the daily average relative humidity is no more than 95%; Monthly average relative humidity is not greater than 90%;

Seismic level: seismic intensity does not exceed 8 degrees;

Not suitable for places with obvious pollution such as corrosive or combustible gases, water vapor, etc.
